Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 11, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Rimemba (rimemba.xyz), operated from Nigeria. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Rimemba.
1. What Rimemba is
Rimemba is a reminder service. We help you remember recurring obligations — bills, rent, subscriptions, exam registrations, vehicle particulars, contributions, and similar deadlines — by sending you notifications via Telegram, email, and SMS.
Rimemba is not a financial institution. We do not hold, move, process, or have custody of your money, savings, or contributions in any form. We only send you a reminder that something is due. Any payment you make in connection with a reminder (rent, ajo, DSTV, etc.) is a matter between you and the relevant third party — Rimemba is not involved in it.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information (including a working phone number and email) and to keep your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for all activity under your account.
3. Free trial and billing
New accounts start with a 14-day free trial, free to start — no card or payment is required to sign up. Once you verify your email, your trial begins immediately with full access to Telegram and email reminders. Adding a card during your trial is optional: if you do, a small ₦100 verification charge confirms it works and is credited toward your first subscription payment, and your subscription then renews automatically when your trial ends unless you cancel first. If you don't add a card, your trial simply ends on day 15 and your account is paused until you pay — by card or a ₦500 bank transfer — to activate your subscription; whichever verification or activation amount you've paid (₦100 or ₦500) is credited once toward your first subscription payment. Subscriptions are billed in advance for the billing period you choose (monthly, quarterly, or yearly) and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
Bank transfer payments are confirmed manually, not automatically — activation or a renewal does not take effect until we've confirmed your transfer against our bank statement. This can take a little while, so transfer with enough notice before you need access restored. If you pay by bank transfer, every future renewal works the same way: transfer the amount shown on your dashboard and notify us, and we'll confirm and renew your subscription. Bank account details for transfers are shown on your dashboard.
Reminders only go out while your account is trialing or has an active subscription. If your trial ends without converting to a paid subscription, or a renewal lapses, notifications for any reminders you've already set — via Telegram, email, and SMS alike — pause immediately along with everything else, and only resume once your subscription is active again. Nothing is lost; your reminders remain saved and pick back up as soon as you reactivate.
4. SMS credits
Each plan includes a monthly SMS allotment, used for day-of reminder delivery, which applies once your subscription is active. SMS is not included free during your trial, since it's the one channel with a real per-message cost — Telegram and email reminders remain fully unlimited throughout your trial regardless. If you want SMS during your trial, credits can be purchased at any time from your dashboard, priced at cost (₦9.85 per unit as of this writing, subject to change), with a 100-unit minimum purchase. SMS credits are non-refundable once purchased and do not expire; any unused balance carries over when your subscription becomes active and at every renewal after that, and credits are only usable within an active Rimemba account.
5. Delivery is best-effort, not guaranteed
Reminders are delivered through third-party networks we don't control — Telegram's platform, email providers, and GSM/SMS carriers. While we work to deliver every reminder on schedule, we cannot guarantee delivery, timing, or receipt of any notification, and we are not liable for missed payments, penalties, or losses resulting from a reminder that was delayed, undelivered, or not read. Rimemba is a convenience tool to help you remember — the responsibility for meeting your actual obligations (paying rent, renewing a subscription, registering for an exam, etc.) remains yours.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Rimemba for any unlawful purpose, or to send content that is abusive, fraudulent, or infringing.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to your account to third parties without our consent.
- Use the SMS or Telegram delivery channels to send anything other than your own personal reminders.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud (including payment fraud or chargebacks made in bad faith), or abuse the service.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future billing — it does not end your access immediately; you keep full access through the end of the period you've already paid for, and are simply not billed again after that. Once a subscription payment has been received, it is non-refundable, for any plan or tier, except where required by applicable consumer protection law. If you no longer want to be billed for the following period, cancel before your current period ends. Card verification charges (₦100), bank transfer payments made to activate or renew your subscription (₦500 the first time), and purchased SMS credits are likewise non-refundable, except that the initial verification or activation amount is credited toward your first subscription payment as described in section 3.
8. Intellectual property
The Rimemba name, logo, and the design and content of rimemba.xyz belong to us. The reminders and notes you create remain yours — we don't claim ownership of your content, and only use it to operate the service for you as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rimemba and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service — including missed deadlines, late fees, penalties, or losses of any kind resulting from a reminder that was not delivered or received. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to the service or these Terms
We may update these Terms, our pricing, or the service itself from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where reasonably practical, we'll notify active subscribers by email. Continued use of Rimemba after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Rimemba will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
